Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan resigned from his position

Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan has said that he has resigned from his position.

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, tweeted: “After nearly three years of working as Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, I have tendered my resignation to the government of Pakistan.”

He cited personal issues as the reason for his resignation and added that it is time for him to focus on his personal work, including agriculture.

The government of Pakistan has not announced anyone as a replacement for Mr. Sadiq.
