Two Taliban officials were sanctioned by the European Union

The European Union has announced that the Acting Heads of Ministries of Higher Education and Enjoining good and forbidding evil of the Taliban have been sanctioned by this Union.

The union said that Nada Mohammad Nadim, the head of higher education and Mohammad Khaled Hanafi, the acting head of the Ministry of the Good and Prohibition of Evil under the Taliban government, have been sanctioned due to gender discrimination and the prohibition of education for women and girls.

These sanctions include the travel ban and the freezing of the assets of these Taliban officials.

The European Union added that 9 other members of the Taliban group have been sanctioned by the European Union.
