UNAMA condemned the attack on journalists in Balkh

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has condemned the attack on journalists in a cultural center in Balkh province yesterday (Saturday).
The statement of UNAMA states that this organization strongly condemns the recent attack on journalists in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif and calls it an unacceptable incident in this city.
Stressing that the violence must stop, UNAMA added that Afghan journalists show great courage and must be protected.
According to the sources, two people were killed and 15 others were injured in the explosion that took place in the cultural center of Tabyan in the second security district of Mazar-e-Sharif city, the center of Balkh province.
But local Taliban officials in Balkh say that 1 person was killed and 5 others were wounded in this incident.
