Sweden helps the people of Afghanistan with more than 7 million dollars

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan (OCHA) has announced that Sweden will donate more than 7 million dollars to the people of Afghanistan.

Ucha wrote in a tweet that Sweden shows its commitment to support the people of Afghanistan and help the most vulnerable people in need in this country by donating 7.4 million dollars.

Ocha wrote in a tweet yesterday that the number of people in need of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan has increased from 6.3 million people in 2019 to 28.3 million people in 2023.

This institution added that about 6 million people are currently facing emergency levels of food insecurity in Afghanistan and are on the verge of famine.

Ocha called this number one of the highest figures in the world in absolute terms.
