Japan has deposited more than 21 million dollars to UNICEF to help the people of Afghanistan

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says that Japan has donated more than 21 million dollars to UNICEF to help with water and public health facilities in Afghanistan.
UNICEF said in a statement that the Japanese government has contributed $18 million to support essential vaccinations for more than 18 million mothers and children and $3.6 million for water and public health facilities.
UNICEF added that the funding will also help UNICEF provide polio vaccines to around 10 million children during national vaccination campaigns in 2023.
Another $3.6 million will enable UNICEF and its partners to provide clean water, ventilated toilets and hand-washing stations to 10,000 students, 50 percent of whom are girls, in 20 schools, according to the organization.
