Ministry of Immigration: More than 2 thousand Afghan immigrants returned to the country from Iran
The Ministry of Immigration and Returnees has announced that more than two thousand Afghan immigrants have returned to the country from Iran.
Yesterday (Thursday), the ministry said in a statement that 2,245 Afghans who were immigrants in Iran entered Herat province through Islam Qala border on Wednesday.
According to the Ministry of Immigration and Returnees, this number of people immigrated to Iran illegally and without documents, and after returning to Afghanistan, 307 of them were introduced to an international relief organization to receive help.
The ministry added that the number of Afghan refugees who have returned to Afghanistan from Iran in the last three days’ reaches more than 6 thousand.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Immigration and Returnees, 2,245 people entered Afghanistan on Wednesday, 2,822 people on Tuesday, and 1,963 people entered Afghanistan through Islam Qala border last Monday.
