The Taliban announced the death of 6 ISIS members in Balkh

Local Taliban officials in Balkh say that as a result of an operation by the group’s forces in this province, 6 ISIS members were killed.

Mohammad Asif Waziri, the spokesman of the Balkh Police Command, says that this operation took place on Monday in “Engineer Mehdi” area of ​​Nahrshahi district of this province.

The spokesperson of Balkh Province Police Command did not provide more details about this and added that this operation lasted for about an hour.

This is while the general intelligence department of the Taliban earlier announced the arrest of the person responsible for the attack on the governor of Balkh province.

It should be noted that during the past few weeks, the attacks of the Taliban forces on the hideouts of the ISIS group in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif have intensified.
