The Russian ambassador met with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban

In a meeting with the Taliban’s foreign minister, the Russian ambassador talked about the political, security and economic relations between the two countries.

Hafiz Zia Ahmed, Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban wrote in a tweet that Dmitry Zhirnov, the Russian Ambassador in Kabul, met with the Acting Minister of the Ministry, Amir Khan Motaghi.

He wrote that in this meeting, the two sides had comprehensive discussions on the political, security and economic relations between the two countries.

Amir Khan Motaghi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban, said in this meeting that the entire security is ensured in Afghanistan and there is no threat against other countries from the territory of this country.

He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate wants to expand political and economic relations with Russia.

In this meeting, the Russian ambassador also emphasized on the strengthening of relations between Afghanistan and his country.
