A young girl committed suicide in Sarpol

Local sources in Sarpol say that a teenage girl in this province hanged herself and ended her life.

Sources say that this girl’s name is Fahima and she hanged herself on Tuesday in the village of “De Ghoriq” in Kohistanat district of Sarpul province.

Meanwhile, local officials in Kohistanat district of Sarpul province confirmed the incident and said that the girl was 15 years old and committed suicide after her father forced her into a forced marriage.

It should be noted that over the past year and a half, the number of suicides in Afghanistan has increased, and the knowledgeable say that poverty, unemployment, family problems, and forced marriages are the reasons for this.
