The second round of peace talks began in Doha

Mohammad Naeem, a spokesman for the Taliban negotiating team, wrote on his Twitter page that a preliminary meeting for the start of the talks had been held this evening and that it had been decided that the two teams appointed to discuss the agenda of the peace talks would begin next Saturday.

The talks were scheduled to begin on Tuesday, but the Afghan delegation arrived in Doha one day late due to bad weather.

The talks will resume after three weeks, the first round of which ended on the 14th of December 2020

According to members of the Afghan negotiating team, the important topics of this round of talks will be how the future system in Afghanistan and the establishment of a ceasefire will be.
