Khalilzad condemned the arrest of the former prime minister of Pakistan

Zalmay Khalilzad, the former representative of the US in Afghanistan’s peace affairs, has condemned the arrest of Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, and warned of the consequences.
He wrote in a tweet that the world should condemn this arrest and consider measures to encourage the authorities of that country to change this course, and countries that have strong relations with Pakistan should help the leaders of this country to reach an agreement that avoids the imminent collapse.
Khalilzad added: “How sad it is for a country that defines its national interests with Islamic identity, to be shown in the world with such a chaotic situation, and at the same time, it lags behind India more and more in many indicators of a successful society.”
According to him, a country with a very high capacity of ancient cultural heritage, natural resources and people with the spirit of entrepreneurship and hard work has repeatedly been kept in chaos by inefficient military and civilian elites.
