The recent floods across Afghanistan killed and injured dozens of people

Taliban officials say that last week heavy rain and flooding in several provinces of Afghanistan have killed at least 24 people and injured more than 120 others.
According to the Ministry of Combating Natural Disasters of the Taliban, at least three people were killed and 30 houses were destroyed in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, Khost and Maidan Wardak in the last two days alone.
Shafiullah Rahimi, the spokesman of the ministry, said that 13 provinces suffered the most damage from these incidents, as a result of which 120 houses and about 3 thousand acres of agricultural fields and land were destroyed.
It should be mentioned that Afghanistan has been severely affected by heavy rains and frequent floods since last year, affecting thousands of displaced families in need of humanitarian aid.
