Ministry of Finance: The smuggling of 10 tons of lithium ore out of the country was prevented

The Ministry of Finance has announced that the smuggling of 10 tons of crushed lithium rock in Torkham port has been prevented.

The ministry wrote in a tweet that Torkham customs officials have prevented the smuggling of 10 tons of crushed lithium rock, stone statue and stone rosary in the export shipment.

The ministry added that this export shipment belonged to the Submissive Sami Mining Company and intended to illegally transfer the said goods to Pakistan, which was identified by the agents.

According to the Ministry of Finance, currently, all the country’s customs are strictly monitoring the prohibited goods and smuggling, and no one is allowed to export and import goods abroad without going through legal procedures.
