The Red Cross warned of the intensification of the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan

The International Committee of the Red Cross says that the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan has worsened and the resumption of vital projects and investment in infrastructure can be a long-term solution to this problem.

In a statement published by this committee, it is stated that unemployment in Afghanistan aggravates the human crisis and people with disabilities suffer the most from this crisis.

According to the statement of the Red Cross, currently 91% of the total income of the people of Afghanistan is spent on preparing meals.

Earlier, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) also said in a statement that the income of 80% of families in Afghanistan has decreased.

This institution said that the deteriorating economy in Afghanistan has caused a sharp decrease in income, increased family debt and unemployment, and 80% of families across the country have experienced a decrease in income.
