Russia called the security situation in Afghanistan tense

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, says that the security situation in Afghanistan is worrying, and ISIS, with foreign support, seeks to make the country and the region insecure.

He said at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg that ISIS is seeking to carry out sabotage attacks in Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.

The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “ISIS is engaged in destructive activities against the current authorities of Afghanistan and at the same time seeks to weaken the stability in the neighboring countries of Central Asia. “This terrorist group is clearly encouraged by foreign forces because its members themselves have confirmed receiving funds from foreign intelligence agencies and foreign terrorists are among its fighters.”

It should be mentioned that ISIS carried out several terrorist attacks in Afghanistan after the Taliban came to power.

Recently, this group killed the governor of Balkh and the deputy governor of Badakhshan province in a terrorist attack.
