Three joint projects were launched between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan

Three joint economic projects between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, including the Aqgina-Andkhoy railway, Turkmenistan-Sheberghan electricity and fiber optics, were inaugurated today (Thursday, January 14) with the virtual presence of the two countries’ leaders

President Ghani attended the inauguration of these projects virtually and described it as an important and valuable step in expanding relations between the two countries

President Ghani also called the fiber optic project and the completion of the construction of a 500 kW line from Aqgina to Sheberghan and a 220 kW line from Sheberghan to Mazar-e-Sharif an important step for economic development between the two countries

He also said that the continuation of war and violence in Afghanistan is to the detriment of the people and called on the Taliban to establish a ceasefire
