The Russian ambassador met with Amir Khan Motaghi

Hafiz Zia Ahmad, the Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban, says that Dmitry Zhirnov, the Russian ambassador in Kabul, met with Amir Khan Motaghi, the acting head of this ministry.

He wrote in a tweet that in this meeting, the Russian ambassador, while providing information about the future meeting of the Moscow format regarding Afghanistan, invited the minister of foreign affairs to participate in the meeting.

The Taliban foreign minister thanked the Russian ambassador and said that the Moscow format plays an important role in creating harmony in the region.

Motaghi expressed hope that Kabul and Moscow will make good use of this meeting in the framework of diplomatic relations.

In the continuation of this meeting, the Taliban foreign minister asked Russia to make it easier to issue visas to Afghans.
