Mottaqi is going to Qatar at the head of a delegation to talk with American officials

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban, says that Amir Khan Motaqi, the head of this ministry, is going to Qatar at the head of a delegation to talk with American officials.

He wrote in a tweet that the delegation was sent to Qatar at the end of July and they will discuss related issues with American officials.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afghanistan’s priority during these talks is ending sanctions and removing the names of some officials of the Islamic Emirate from the US blacklist, freeing Afghanistan’s bank reserves and stopping violations of Afghanistan’s airspace.

Balkhi added that during this trip, the Afghan delegation will also discuss bilateral issues with Qatari government officials.
