An Iranian delegation visited the Helmand River in Uruzgan to check the water level

Iranian authorities have announced that a delegation from that country has visited Dehrawood district of Uruzgan province for the first time to check and inspect the water condition of Hirmand river.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s ambassador in Kabul, said that a delegation from that country visited Dehrawood district of Uruzgan to investigate the water situation of the Hirmand river, and the said delegation is currently in Kabul, and the results of this visit will be known soon.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate confirmed the visit of the Iranian delegation to the Hirmand River in a statement and said that the said delegation has assessed the current water year as less than the normal water year due to the drought compared to last year.
The ministry added that the Islamic Emirates emphasizes that if it rains and favorable conditions, it will provide water for the residents of the lower reaches of the Helmand Sea in Afghanistan’s Nimroz province and Iran’s Sistan.
It should be mentioned that the water issue has caused problems in the relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
