The General Director of Afghan Railways met with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran

During his trip to Iran, Mullah Bakht al-Rahman Sharaft, the General Director of the Afghanistan Railway Department, and his delegation met with Seyyed Miyad Salehi, the head of the Railway Department of that country, in Tehran.

The Afghan Railway Administration wrote in a tweet that in this meeting, the speed of transfers through the Khawaf-Herat section 3 railway line was discussed and analyzed, and the Iranian side has assured that they will cooperate and try to increase the level of traffic on this route.

According to this department, in this meeting, the two sides also emphasized on the development of bilateral railway cooperation and considered the third section of the Khaf-Herat railway line important in the economic development of the two countries.
