A child died as a result of a mortar shell explosion in Sarpul

Local officials in Sarpol say that a child died as a result of a mortar shell explosion in this province.

Officials in Sarpul Police Command say that this incident happened on Thursday in Sayad district of this province and as a result a young child died.

According to the officials, the name of the child who died in this incident was Abdul Mutalib and he was 5 years old.

It should be noted that most of Afghanistan’s regions are contaminated with unexploded ordnance due to long wars, and most of them lead to the death or injury of people.
