Mottaqi met with the Grand Mufti of the Russian Federation

On the sidelines of his trip to Moscow, Amir Khan Mottaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, met with Ravil Ainuddin, Grand Mufti of the Russian Federation and Imam of the Central Mosque of Moscow.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on the X social page that during this meeting, the Grand Mufti of Russia discussed the historical background of Tatarstan and Afghanistan and talked about respect for Islamic holy places and non-discriminatory behavior towards Muslims.

In this meeting, Mr. Ainuddin expressed his readiness to cooperate for the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan and the improvement of relations between Afghanistan and the Russian Federation.
