Türkiye expressed its condolences to the victims of the earthquake in Herat

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey expressed its condolences to the victims of the earthquake in Herat and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The Ministry’s statement said: “We learned with sadness that more than 200 people lost their lives and more than 1,000 were injured in the 6.2-magnitude earthquake in Herat province, Afghanistan.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey added: “We offer our condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Afghanistan for this loss, and we wish a speedy recovery to those injured in this incident.”
This ministry has announced Turkey’s readiness to provide any support to earthquake victims in Afghanistan.
According to the authorities of the Islamic Emirate, more than 2,000 people have lost their lives as a result of Saturday’s earthquake in Herat and its neighboring provinces, which the US Geological Survey has declared to have a magnitude of 6.2.
