Stanekzai, in a meeting with the UN delegation, demanded the continuation of this organization’s aid to Afghanistan

Mrs. Beit Beikdol, Deputy General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and her accompanying delegation met with Alhaj Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanakzai, Political Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, wrote on the X social page that in this meeting, the political deputy of the ministry expressed his gratitude for the constant cooperation of the United Nations and added that the Islamic Emirate pays special attention to the agriculture, irrigation and food security sectors.

He asked the General Deputy of the Food and Agriculture Organization to concentrate its aid in infrastructure projects according to the agriculture sector and the needs of farmers, keeping in mind the principle of sustainability.

In this meeting, Mr. Stankzai emphasized on restarting the projects related to climate change and environment and paying attention to the livelihood alternative for drugs.

Following this meeting, the UN delegation said that this organization has decided to continue and expand its assistance in the technical sector, distribution of modified seeds, animal health, irrigation, climate change, mechanization of agriculture and other sectors.
