The collision of two trains in India killed more than 11 people

Security officials in India say that nearly 68 people have been killed and injured after two trains collided in the city of Andhra Pradesh.

According to officials, the accident occurred on Sunday evening after a train collided with another passenger train on the Howrah-Chennai line in Vizianagaram district, about 68 km north of Andhra Pradesh’s capital Vishakhapatnam.

Indian authorities have so far confirmed the death of 11 people and the injury of nearly 50 people as a result of this incident.

This is the second train collision this month after a passenger train derailed in the eastern Indian state of Bihar on October 12, killing four people.
