Mottaqi met with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran

Amir Khan Mottaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, met with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran.
Hafiz Zia Ahmed, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on page X that in this meeting, the two sides discussed the diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Iran at the highest level.
He added that during this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan mentioned effective measures to strengthen the political, economic, commercial and transit relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
Amir Khan Mottaqi has continued to discuss with his Iranian counterpart to resolve the situation and problems of Afghan prisoners and asylum seekers in Iran.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan headed a delegation to Iran two days ago to participate in a high-level political consultative conference for the Palestinian issue.
