An explosion in Nangarhar killed eight soldiers

A car bomb blast in Nangarhar has killed eight soldiers.

Local officials in Nangarhar province confirmed the incident, saying the blast struck a military base in the province, killing eight soldiers.

But eyewitnesses said 14 soldiers were killed and four others were injured in the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
