98 Afghan citizens released from Saudi prisons

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement this morning (Saturday, 30^th January) that 98 prisoners of Afghan citizenship were released from prison and returned to the country due to the efforts of the Afghan Consulate in Jeddah and the cooperation of Saudi Arabia.

The prisoners were returned to the country on a special flight.

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 2,164 Afghan nationals detained in Saudi Arabia have been repatriated since August this year.
