Magnetic mine blast in Kabul

Kabul police spokesman Froudos Faramarz said that an explosion took place this morning (Monday,2th Feb) in the 10th district of Kabul.

Mr Faramarz said the blast targeted a Land Cruiser but did not cause any casualties.

On the other hand, security officials said that the car belonged to Khoshnood Nabizadeh, the head of the government’s office for peace affairs.

It is said that Mr. Nabizadeh, his two children and his driver were in the car at the time of the explosion.

Mr. Nabizadeh’s relatives said they were not injured in the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
