New US and British attacks on the Houthis

The US Department of Defense says that the US military and British forces have carried out new airstrikes against 18 Houthi sites in Yemen, which is the fourth joint operation between the two countries against this Iran-backed group.

The Pentagon says the strikes on Saturday night targeted a missile storage facility, drones, air defense systems, radars and a helicopter.

Britain said the operation was aimed at “further analysis” of the Houthis’ capabilities.

AtThe first reaction to these attacks, Yahya Saree, the spokesman of Yemen’s Houthis, announced in a televised speech that the group will continue its attacks against ships in the Red Sea.

Mr. Saree said that this group’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea will continue until Israel attacks Gaza.

Al-Masira TV, the main channel of the Houthis, reports that the United States and the United Kingdom have carried out a total of nine airstrikes in the capital Sanaa.
