Amir Khan Motaghi met and talked with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Murdov about the development of diplomatic relations

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Maulvi Amir Khan Motaghi and Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Murdov discussed the expansion of diplomatic relations, the start of the TAPI project in Afghanistan, the increase in Turkmenistan’s electricity exports to this country, the Lazur Road and the investment process of Turkmen businessmen in Afghanistan.

The Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on Platform X that the Islamic Emirate focuses on the “economic connection of the region” in its foreign policy.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said in this meeting that increasing the amount of trade with Afghanistan is one of our priorities. Ashgabat should provide scholarships to Afghan students in the fields of electricity, railways, transportation and gas.
