Saudi Arabia executed seven people on charges of “terrorist” activities

The Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia has announced the execution of seven people accused of involvement in terrorist activities.
The official news agency of Saudi Arabia reported on Tuesday, February 27, quoting the ministry, that these seven people were convicted of creating “terrorist” financing organizations.
After 2022, this is the most executions carried out in one day in Saudi Arabia.
In 2022, this country executed 81 people in one day.
Saudi Arabia authorities have not provided more details on this matter.
According to reports, the Saudi government has executed 29 people this year.
Last year, 170 people were executed in this country.
This action of Saudi Arabia has been severely criticized by human rights organizations and countries.
According to the report of the AFP news agency, Adel Al-Saeed, the deputy of the European Human Rights Organization for Saudi Arabia, called the accusations against the executed people “vague and baseless”.
He added that in the statement of the government of Saudi Arabia, he mentioned the terrorist organization that these people were accused of being a member of.
Meanwhile, based on the findings of Amnesty International, Saudi Arabia, China and Iran witness the highest number of executions in the world.
