The Lazur Road and the TAPI project are the focus of consultations between the authorities of the Islamic Emirate and Turkmenistan

During his trip to Turkmenistan, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Motaghi met with that country’s Foreign Minister Rashid Muradov and announced Kabul’s readiness to start the practical work of the TAPI project in Afghanistan.
In this meeting, Muradov presented details about the preparations for the practical start of the TAPI gas transmission pipeline project in Afghanistan.
In this meeting, Motaghi also expressed hope that the two sides will be able to start the practical work of the TAPI project in Afghanistan in the near future.
In the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, it is stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan considered TAPI as a large project of strategic importance for Turkmenistan.
