India’s emphasis on developing relations with Afghanistan

On Thursday, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the special representative of India and discussed bilateral, economic, transit, humanitarian aid and visa issuance for Afghan nationals.
JP Singh also appreciated the Islamic Emirate’s efforts to strengthen security, fight against drugs and corruption and emphasized that India is interested in expanding its relations with Afghanistan in political and economic fields and growth through trade.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, says: The two sides discussed diplomatic and economic relations, India is one of the important countries in the region, and the Islamic Emirate wants to have good relations with India.
In this meeting, Amir Khan Motaghi thanked India for humanitarian aid and wanted to strengthen relations between Kabul and New Delhi.
Mr. Motaghi also pointed to the creation of facilities for the payment of commercial, health and educational visas for Afghan citizens.

Also, JP Singh had separate meetings with some Afghan investors in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and talked about deals, increasing trade from Afghanistan to India and solving the problems of traders on both sides.
The Vice President of Commerce of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment stated: The request of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment was to give Indian visas to Afghan businessmen so that they can visit both countries. Afghanistan and India should do their business well.
At the same time, Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, in his meeting with JP Singh, demanded more cooperation from India in the field of education.
