An explosion in Logar killed one person and wounded 40 others

One person was killed and 40 others were injured in an explosion at a market in Barhaki Barak district of Logar province, security officials said.

Confirming the incident, Logar provincial council chairman Haseebullah Stanekzai said most of the injured were civilians.

Mr Stanekzai said the injured had been taken to hospital.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
