Climate crisis in Afghanistan aggravates hunger

 The World Food Program (WFP) has warned that the climate crisis will exacerbate hunger in Afghanistan, referring to the recent floods in Afghanistan.

Hsiao Wei Li said that Afghanistan is likely to witness more floods in the coming months.

He added: “With the occurrence of one disaster after another that affects the society, it leads them [people] to poverty. “Food security in Afghanistan is now in danger of being lost.”

According to him, the families affected by the recent floods in Afghanistan need urgent help to survive.
