Afghanistan Foreign Minister went to Moscow

Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar travels to Moscow at the head of a high-ranking government delegation.

“The purpose of the visit is to expand bilateral relations, strengthen regional and international consensus on the Afghan peace process, and increase co-operation in the joint fight against terrorism and organized crime in the region,” the Afghan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During his visit to Moscow, Mr. Atmar is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and a number of high-ranking Russian government officials.
