2 policemen killed and 3 wounded in a Taliban attack in Baghlan

Local sources in Baghlan say that two policemen were killed and three others were wounded when Taliban fighters attacked a security base on the Pul-e-Khumri-Samangan highway.

Javed Besharat; Baghlan police spokesman said that Taliban fighters had attacked a security base on the Pul-e-Khumri-Samangan highway last night (Friday, March 6), but were repulsed by security forces.

Baghlan police spokesman added that four Taliban fighters, including a group commander, were killed and three others were wounded in the clashes.

Baghlan is one of the northern provinces of the country where the Taliban are active in some parts.
