Şükrü Can, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkish Red Crescent Society, stated: “These aid supplies have been collected with the support of the President of Turkey, and through the efforts of the Disaster Management Authority, the Turkish Red Crescent, and other charitable organizations in Turkey, and have been sent to the people of Afghanistan. This aid reflects the friendship and compassion of the Turkish people toward the Afghan nation.”
Officials from the Afghan Red Crescent Society announced that these supplies will be distributed to those in need across the country.
Shahabuddin Delawar, acting head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, said: “This aid shipment includes 4,000 tents and other food and non-food items. It is planned that these supplies will be distributed to the most needy people in all 34 provinces and seven regions of the country.”
