35 Taliban fighters killed in Zabul

The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that 35 Taliban fighters were killed and 19 others were wounded in an operation carried out by the defense and security forces in Mizan and Safa districts of Zabul province yesterday (9th march).

According to the statement, 2 weapons, 7 motorcycles and 1 vehicle were seized in the operation, 1 hideout with some weapons and ammunition was destroyed and some villages of Mizan district were cleared of the enemy.

The statement also said that eight embedded mine rings were discovered and defused by the engineering team during the operation.
