Qatar announces new prisoner exchange agreement between resistance groups and Israel

The Qatari Foreign Ministry announced the achievement of understandings, according to which Hamas handed over several Israeli prisoners, including “Irbil the Jew,” and in return, the Zionist regime issued a permit for the return of refugees to northern Gaza and will present a list of the names of 400 people detained in Gaza as of October 7, 2023.

In this regard, the spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry announced that, based on the understandings reached, the Hamas movement is scheduled to hand over “Irbil the Jew” and two other Israeli prisoners before Friday; also, the movement will release three other Israeli prisoners on Saturday, according to the agreement.

Majid Al-Ansari added that “Israel” will also issue a permit for the return of Gaza refugees to the north of this region starting this morning (Monday, February 28).

He added that the new understandings also include the delivery by Israel of a list of the names of 400 people who have been detained since October 7, 2023, and that this list will be presented every Sunday in the first phase.
