6 soldiers killed in Taliban attack in Afghanistan

6 soldiers were killed and 2 wounded in an armed attack carried out by Taliban militants in Kunduz province in the north of Afghanistan.

Abdul Ahad Turyal Kakar, Deputy Provincial Council of Kunduz, told the press that the militants carried out an armed attack on the military post in the Khan Abad district of Kunduz.

Kakar said 6 soldiers lost their lives and 2 soldiers were injured in the attack.

In the statement made by the Taliban, it was claimed that 2 militants were injured in the clash that followed the attack.

Afghanistan and Taliban negotiating committees continue the second phase of peace talks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, in an effort to end the violence that has been going on for years in Afghanistan.
