Ilhan Omar: Elon Musk Doesn’t Have the Power to Disband USAID

Ilhan Omar, a Muslim congresswoman, has insisted that Elon Musk doesn’t have the power to disband the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

“It’s undemocratic and extremely dangerous for a billionaire to wake up one day and decide to stop life-saving international programs,” she wrote in X.

The reaction came after Elon Musk, the head of the Office of Government Efficiency in the Trump administration, called USAID corrupt and called for its disbandment.
