Rubio’s trip to promote Trump’s plan to the Middle East

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will begin his trip to Germany and the Middle East today (Thursday, February 13).
The US State Department said in a press release that Mr. Rubio will travel to Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from February 15 to 18 after attending the Munich Security Conference and the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in Germany.
According to the press release, Rubio will meet with senior officials from Arab and Middle Eastern countries to discuss the release of hostages, including American citizens held by Hamas, the second phase of the ceasefire in Gaza and countering threats from Iran and its allies.
