Over 40 Historical Monuments Restored, Says Culture Ministry

The Ministry of Information and Culture has reported that since the Islamic Emirate’s return to power, more than 40 historical monuments across the country have been renovated and restored.
Mohammad Haseeb Nasimi, head of the Historical Monuments Preservation and Restoration Department at the Ministry of Information and Culture, stated that restoration work on eight additional historical monuments is currently underway in three provinces.
Speaking Nasimi said: “The Directorate of Historical Monuments has always been committed to the preservation and restoration of historical sites. In line with its strategic objectives, it has carried out extensive restoration work on more than 40 historical monuments across eight provinces.”
Experts emphasize that a nation’s historical heritage serves as a testament to its identity and past. They argue that countries that protect their ancient sites solidify their cultural standing on the global stage.
Cultural affairs expert Ikrami Fanduqistani stated: “Cultural heritage is a symbol of identity, civilization, and spiritual values of a nation. It emerges from the depths of this land and presents our historical identity to the world, while also serving as a unifying element among Afghanistan’s diverse ethnic groups.”
Afghanistan is home to valuable historical treasures. Experts stress that alongside restoration efforts, long-term management and protection plans must be implemented to safeguard these monuments and artifacts for future generations.
