President Ghani went to Nimroz to inaugurate Kamal Khan Dam

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani traveled to Nimroz province this morning with a high-level government delegation to inaugurate the Kamal Khan Dam.
During this trip, President Ghani will lay a wreath at the foot of the Martyrs’ Minaret to honor the martyrs of Kamal Khan Dam and will officially inaugurate and operate Kamal Khan Dam.
Kamal Khan Dam, which originates from the mountains of Afghanistan, was built along the Helmand River.
The dam, with a storage capacity of 25 million cubic meters of water, will irrigate more than 184,000 hectares of land and generate more than 9 megawatts of electricity.
