Afghanistan’s Exports Decline by $18 Million in Dalwa

The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) stated that Afghanistan’s export value decreased by $18 million in Dalwa of the current year compared to Jadi (solar year).
According to the statistics from this authority, Afghanistan’s exports reached $144.2 million in Dalwa, whereas in the previous month, this figure was over $162 million.
Halim Rafi, the spokesperson for the NSIA, said: “Statistics show that in Dalwa of this year, $144.2 million in exports and $167.1 million in imports were recorded, which has decreased compared to the previous month.”
The Chambers of Commerce and Investment, as well as Agriculture and Livestock, have emphasized the need to support agricultural production to strengthen Afghanistan’s exports.
“Afghanistan’s imports are several times higher than its exports annually. Afghanistan is an agricultural country, and supporting farmers is essential to increase exports,” said Mirwais Haji Zada, the first deputy of the Agriculture and Livestock Chamber.
“Bilateral agreements must be signed so that we can export our products and facilitate transit routes for other countries through Afghanistan,” said Jan Aqa Naveed, the spokesperson for the Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
According to experts, trade challenges with Pakistan, difficulties in obtaining business visas, and banking restrictions on money transfers are among the key factors contributing to the decline in Afghanistan’s exports to other countries.
