Taliban killed an elder by attacking a wedding party in Paktia

Security sources in Paktia report that a tribal elder was killed in a Taliban attack on a wedding ceremony.

Sources say that the Taliban attacked a wedding ceremony in Ahmadabad district of Paktia province, killing Jan Mohammad, one of the tribal elders in the province.

The source added that Jan Mohammad had no personal enmity with anyone.

The motive for the killing is still unknown, and relatives of the man blamed the Taliban for killing Jan Mohammad.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
