Eight security personnel were killed and wounded in a Taliban attack on a Baghlan sugar factory

Security sources in Baghlan reported that eight security forces were killed and wounded as a result of a Taliban attack on a sugar factory in the central Baghlan district.

Ahmad Javid Besharat; Baghlan police spokesman said that last night (Sunday, 19th April) Taliban fighters attacked a sugar factory in the central Baghlan district from several directions and the clashes continued until noon today.

According to Mr. Besharat, six Taliban fighters were killed and eight others were wounded in the clashes, while two members of the security forces were killed and six others were wounded.
