Army forces release 28 civilians from Taliban prison in Helmand

In a newsletter, the Special Operations Corps announced the release of 28 civilians from a prison in Helmand.

The statement said that 28 civilians were released from a Taliban prison last night (Monday, 19th April) in a special forces operation in the Musa Qala district of Helmand province.

The newsletter added that six Taliban fighters were killed and some of the group’s ammunition was destroyed in the operation.
